Cosa succede se si dimentica la batteria del laptop nel bagaglio in stiva? (in Europa)

Supponiamo che compriate una batteria di riserva per il vostro laptop e vi dimentichiate di metterla nel bagaglio a mano (come da regole IATA ). Cosa succede dopo? Alcuni possibili scenari:

Le compagnie aeree tendono a ignorare questo regolamento e non si preoccupano di controllare le batterie
La compagnia aerea aprirà la tua borsa, tirerà fuori la batteria e lascerà un biglietto di scusa
La compagnia aerea ti tirerà fuori dal volo e ti costringerà a tirare fuori la batteria

La domanda si ispira a uno scenario reale in cui mi sono ricordato del regolamento sulle batterie pochi secondi prima del check-in del mio bagaglio.

Despite @JonathanReez’s comment, the risk from checked batteries is real. It’s relatively small - but higher than never having a cargo hold fire.

I had a sealed lead acid (motorcycle) battery that I took legally as carry-on on a NZ domestic flight. It was stupidly and improperly rejected by checkin.
I hid it in an airport garden and it was collected by someone else in due course.

They subsequently carried it as check-in luggage on the same route.
I gave them the correct IATA magic words and exemption codes to write on the wrapper - as required by the rules.
The battery arrived OK BUT it was evident that it had been checked during transit. Presumably it would have been removed if it had not met rules.
IATA code must be good juju :-). Cosa succede dopo?

“Non fare nulla”.

“Togliere la batteria”. Multa o accusa PUO’ succedere.

“Portarvi fuori dall'aereo” è meno probabile che portare la borsa fuori dall'aereo, lasciarvi su.
